East Wing Meditation Centre and Chaplaincy
East Wing is a small meditation space based in Westbury, Wiltshire. Located in the older part of town in Church Street, East Wing is nestled in an area that has been used for contemplation for many centuries. The centre hosts a fortnightly Zen sitting group and ongoing meditation sessions, including 8 week mindfulness meditation courses. A room there is also dedicated for my psychotherapy practice.
Chaplaincy at Upaya Centre
Since January 2013, it has been my privilege to be in service and training as Chaplain with the Chaplaincy programme at Upaya Zen Centre under the guidance of Roshi Joan Halifax.
In the YouTube video, below we hear a beautiful rendition of the Metta Sutta by friends at Upaya. The Metta Sutta is a wish for all beings to live well.
Avero homi (May I be free from enmity and danger)
Abvya pajjo homi (May I be free from mental suffering)
Anigho homi (May I be free from physical suffering)
Sukhi attanam pariharami (May I take care of myself happily)
Sabbe sattha avera hontu (May all beings be free from enmity and danger)

Anigha hontu (May all beings be free from physical suffering)
Sukhi attanam pariharantu (May all beings take care of themselves happily)
